# Sign Up

As a new user, you can only sign up for an account on PingMe when you:

* Receive payment from an existing PingMe user
* Perform social authentication with your Google/X account by following the instructions [here](https://pingmexyz.gitbook.io/docs/~/revisions/gzmMBwqxUwV7fntwKFBS/features/onboarding/social-authentication).

To sign up for a PingMe account:

1. You will first need to use your email address to create an account and set up your own password.

2. After you set up your account, you will be able to log in to the PingMe app.&#x20;
3. You can choose to enable your Face ID when you first log in to your account.&#x20;
4. If you want to enable Face ID after your first time logging in, you may go to "Account" -> "Security" -> enable "Use Face ID to log in".

5. Congratulations! You've successfully signed up for a PingMe account.
